What makes His sacrifice acceptable? How do we know it has been accepted?

Because God said so and in my faith I accept that. If we can't accept that we better be on our knees asking to be enlightened. Bob

ORIGINAL: pinopolitan What makes His sacrifice acceptable? That's a pretty big question. I'm not sure I know the full answer. At least part of the answer is that Jesus Christ was sinless, not only avoiding doing anything wrong, but also actively doing everything right. Jesus Christ was perfectly obedient to the Father, perfectly fulfilling the Law, being the human life that humans could not be on our own. quote:
How do we know it has been accepted? Again, this isn't the full answer, but we know Christ's sacrifice was acceptable because He was raised from the dead. If Jesus Christ had not satisfied death (the wrath of God) on the cross, then He would still be dead.

ORIGINAL: pinopolitan What makes His sacrifice acceptable? Blood. Christ had pure, incorruptible blood. God has always required blood as an atonement for sin. Christ became that perfect sacrifice, whose blood was untarnished by the curse of sin, and covers the iniquity of all mankind.

Jesus came to do the will of the Father, to suffer bleed and die for our sins and the sins of this whole world, to be raised from the dead that we would be justified why did Jesus do that? 1.Because this was the will of the Father (Not my will but Thine be done) 2.to please the Father----- Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance. 2Pe 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 2Pe 1:17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

As figmentPez stated that is a huge question. That would take alot of time and space to cover that much ground. Genesis chapter 3 tell why a savior had to come. Adam gave away to satan what God had given him to rule over. This is where the curse of sin entered the world, because of Adams disobedience. Verse 21 of that chapter shows us where the first blood was shed. God made tunics of skin for Adam and his wife to cover their nakedness. Hebrews 9:22 says that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. The only way God could reconcile man back to Himself is through the the sinless blood of His son, Jesus Christ. Read the book of Romans, it has much to say about this. Be blessed
