((((((((((((Emily))))))))))))))))) Praying for you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep me in your prayers this next week.... I fly out March 10 to be with my mom...my dad is dying (and in fact will probably die before I get there) and fly back March 17th. I will be 30 and 31 weeks respectively...not the most comfortable time to be flying (and some airlines can refuse you at the gate for being "too pregnant"). My Midwife is cool with it...but there are just so many factors to this.....not to mention the hades of non stop night leg cramps have started....I had the worst one last night..not in level of pain but in how and where it was....it started in the front tendon of my left ankle...which meant I needed to point my toes out...but if I did that...my calf would cramp up....ended up with all my toes, my foot and leg wrapped in knots...so had to get up and hobble around until it released. And yes...I am eating bananas...and drinking water. It is probably due to pressure on my sciatic nerve. Oh Joy!

ORIGINAL: JoyfulLady Keeping you in prayers, both Emily and W.O.F! Does anyone know if there's anything I can take in the third trimester to help me sleep? I'd like to get some rest before this baby comes. You can drink warm milk before bed, or take a warm shower/bath. I like to use Old Maid's Tea, which is hot milk and ginger. It helps. To be honest....there is a purpose in that lack of sleep in third trimester...it is usually FAR worse than what you go through once baby comes..and it helps condition you for those nights with a fussy newborn....so even though they are hard (especially with a toddler too!)...they serve a purpose.... hang in there!

Tylenol PM, Benedryl, and Unisom Sleep Tabs are all safe. On their own of course, not all together I've been having some trouble sleeping and it's really rare for me, I'm never one to have that problem, lol. I ended up using my Hypnobabies "special place" track to get some rest last night.

I'm feeling very fragile today. . .my head hurts and my back hurts and I'm tired and emotional. It was really tough going to classes this morning because there's another pregnant girl who always sits right in front of me. I know it sounds horrible, but seeing her all happy and glowing just made me feel worse. The teachers are being very helpful and supportive right now though. One even gave me an extra week on his assignments because he didn't want me stressing about them on top of everything else going on. I have another appointment today at 3:30 to actually meet my doctor, and I should get the result of yesterday's blood test. I'll keep you all updated when I know more.

Hang in there, Emily. Fix your eyes on Jesus. (((Emily))) ~~~ Brandy, did you say you take B-complex for nausea? I picked some up today, but everything I'm finding says it's pregnancy category C. My OB named a specific one when I was there last...B-natal or something like that. But I couldn't find that one, and I'm not sure if it's different, I just picked up regular B-complex. Any insight? ~~~ ETA I did a little more looking and found THIS. It looks like the maximum mg/day of B6 for women over 18 is 100mg/day. My prenatal has 2.6mg. Each of these has 25mg, and you can take 3/day. Maybe I'll have to see if I can find these somewhere or buy them online.

Emily, I'm sorry. WOF, safe travels and I second the magnesium. I take an extra cal/mag beside my prenatal and it helps.

Oh, Emily, I'm so sorry. It seems so unfair for you to have to go through this again. Praying for you for comfort and strength, and above all a miracle.

(((((((((((((((Emily)))))))))))))))))) I am so sorry that you have been given such a bad prognosis. My heart breaks for you..and I pray that God will just grant you peace and strength. ******************** As for the magnesium..I double checked, and yes..my prenatal vitamins have it. I was pretty sure they did since I usually check for that since I have had leg cramps with all of my previous full-term pregnancies. I honestly think it is more to do with my sciatic nerve..since I can sleep in a chair sitting up (with or without my legs elevated) and not have a single cramp. My hubby and I were joking the other day that it is probably a good thing I never get them while in the upright position....can you just see me on the plane getting a leg cramp? The panic it would cause for a 30 week pregnant woman to be sitting there going "ow ow ow"...
